Calling all salsa song writers! Here's your chance to win big!
Agozar is partnering with Zanja Records and Corfe de Cali – Feria de Cali to launch a virtual Salsa Song Contest – salsa's answer to the Eurovision Song Contest! – which will be livestreamed on Salsasongcontest.com, Agozar YouTube and Agozar Facebook page on 28 November 2020.
The event is designed to inspire musicians and salsa bands around the world, discover fresh talent and inject new life into the salsa scene through offering a range of cash prizes. The first-prize winner will receive $2,000, with $1,000 and $500 for the second- and third- prize winners respectively.
The competition opens on 25 September and closes on 7 November, with the finals held on the 28th, when the winners will be announced in the live show. Aspiring artists are invited to upload their track to salsasongcontest.com, and ensure they adhere to the rules and conditions of entry as listed on the website.
